Trying To Get Back On The Horse

The holidays have been a challenge for me to get over here and post.  Kids, family, shopping, returns, parties, playdates and the holidays tend to get in the way of writing.  Now that I am back to work and back to a somewhat normal routine I hope to be back to regularly posting.  I apologize to my 4 regular readers for not keeping up with this blog.

Finally, it is the 2nd of January and I can use my new calender.  The first question of my Jeopardy Trivia calender what about Philadelphia’s on Mummers Parade.  While that was a very easy question for me to answer I have to admit that being a Philly guy I am not really into the Mummers.  I don’t get it.  I have friends that march in it and get all into the whole Mummers thing but that is just not my cup of tea.

So it is back to the grindstone for me.  Work, then home for dinner, homework with the kids, maybe a little TV and then bed.  Damn!  I live such a boring life.  Sometimes I yearn for the old party days.  The days where I was playing in a band, staying up late until 4 or 6 in the morning with friends.  No worries, no responsibilities, just living life.  New Years eve made me realize that I can no longer hang much past the 10 o’clock news.

The Holidays have given me some things to write about.  I have a few new Donnaism jems to report.  Hang in there.  Things will pick up here.

Happy New Year!

Happy 2008 to you too! Don’t regret your old party days too much. I don’t think our bodies were meant to withstand that kind of abuse for too many years in a row. LOL. I didn’t know you used to be in a band though so there’s another post topic I’d like to see. After you fill us in on your holiday escapades, that is. ;)
