Comments(5) I’m dumb! I’ll freely admit it. I will say dumb things without thinking first of the impact my words may have on someone.
It is late in the night and my wife and I are laying in bed canoodling after having a love making session and she starts up with her usual “I’m just so fat! Aren’t I getting fat? UGH! I hate how fat I am getting…”
This is usually where I just roll over and pretend to be asleep because she is not fat. She is also not 18 anymore either. But for some reason women can’t get beyond that fast that as you age and have children you are bound to put on a few pounds. I am not that shallow that I kick her outta bed for being a fat lard and I try to comfort her and reassure her that she is not fat, I would love her no matter what, etc…. I tried to say all the nice things a good husband would say. But….
She says to me “…but look at me. Look! I’m a chunky monkey!”
I respond “No you’re not honey! You just a thin Hippo!”
Guess who just earned himself a bedroom dryspell for a week!
