Idle Ramblings of a Slightly Mad Man

I do not normally eat fast food.  It is rare that you find me at a McDonald’s or a Burger King.  If I do need to eat fast food more likely than not I eat Wendy’s.  Only if I have no other choice will I eat one of the other guys. 

The other day I was traveling for work and driving along the highway and had no choice but to eat at the Burger King that was located in the rest area.  After ordering and paying for my food I went to the drink bar to get my soda and I noticed that under the drink selections there were decals that suggested the best drink for the hamburger that you brought.  Like a suggested wine to go with your meal that you find in fine restaurants.  I was stunned that Coke is a fine compliment to a BK Stacker and a Sprite is a crisp and refreshing accompaniment to the Angus Burger.   

I found the whole thing as humorous and entertaining and at the same time very weird and odd. 

I have never gone into a fast food restaurant and found a customer confused over their drink options nor have I seen a customer ask for a recommendation and/or opinion from the cashier as to what drink would go better with a cheeseburger?  Red wine or White wine?  Brown soda or Clear soda????????
